Hon. Danjuma Usman Shiddi (Danji SS) is a distinguished security expert, former Department of State Services (DSS) Assistant Director, and two-term federal lawmaker who served as the Chairman of the House Committee on Internal Security. As the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) governorship candidate for Taraba State, he leverages his extensive background in national intelligence and grassroots legislative leadership to champion local economic empowerment, security, and accountable governance.

Born into the respected family of Usman Shiddi and Patu Adda.
Completed secondary education at Government Science Secondary School, Bauchi.
Graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science from Bayero University, Kano.
Joined the Department of State Services, rising through the ranks to retire as an Assistant Director.
Elected to the 8th National Assembly representing Wukari/Ibi Federal Constituency under APGA.
Re-elected to the 9th Assembly; appointed Chairman of the House Committee on Internal Security.
Affirmed as APGA Flagbearer to secure and economically transform all 16 LGAs of Taraba State.

Hon. Danjuma Usman Shiddi, the APGA governorship candidate in Taraba State, has been honoured with the “Most Humanitarian Personality of the Year 2026” award at the World Widows Day commemoration organised by the International Association of World Peace Advocacy Network (IAWPA).
Supporters of the governorship ambition of Hon. Danjuma Usman Shiddi (Danji SS) have intensified calls on residents of Taraba State to support his candidature ahead of the 2027 general election under the platform of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).
During a highly attended primary election and candidate confirmation exercise held in Jalingo, the All Progressives Grand Alliance officially affirmed Hon. Danjuma Umaru Shiddi as its flagbearer for the 2027 polls.
Addressing journalists in Jalingo, the former federal lawmaker explained that his motivation to seek the governorship is rooted in a profound desire to rescue Taraba State from economic stagnation, youth joblessness, and infrastructure decay.
Thousands of enthusiastic supporters, women's groups, and youth mobilization groups turned out in large numbers to welcome Hon. Shiddi to the state capital as he officially arrived to unveil his grassroots political movement.
In a major stakeholder address, Shiddi maintained that the 2027 election must not be decided by divisive rhetoric, urging Tarabans to evaluate candidates based strictly on character, compassion, and measurable capacity.
Prominent political advocates and community groups across Taraba South and Central zones formally declared their alignment with the APGA platform, citing Shiddi's historical legislative track record as a model for honest governance.
I completely stand by Danji SS because of his strong stance on local content. When he spoke out against importing basic things like school uniforms from abroad, it resonated with thousands of tailors and artisans across Taraba. He values indigenous labor and knows that keeping contracts local is the only way to tackle youth unemployment in our state.
